Ready, Set, Action!
Let us help you develop your technique in front of the camera! Learn how to heighten your awareness on set, explore movement options, and start creating your acting reel to book jobs immediately. At The Film Foundry, you will learn how to act in various scenes and environments. Be prepared for interviews, technical demands, and even green screen/CYC-wall shoots all while learning how a set properly functions.
The class will be every Saturday from 2PM-5PM for 8 weeks starting July 30th and completed by September 24th!
ABOUT THE COURSE
Acting for Camera is an 8-week course designed to guide actors through the various stages of booking and delivering a powerful performance on film. In this course, we’ve combined the art and science of industry techniques to make your on-camera appearances shine.
You will not only gain knowledge over technical aspects such as hitting your marks, framing and eye-line, but gain confidence by being immersed in various production scenarios. Students are expected to be fully prepared each week as they are given opportunities to work alongside industry professionals currently casting and acting within the entertainment industry.
Success is not accomplished overnight but obtained by developing your skill set in order to make a memorable and captivating performance.

SESSION 1: INTRO AUDITONS

Assemble your sample folder for use as an actor
Mock Auditions
Students will be provided a monologue, which they will film in a mock audition
These will be reviewed and the discussion of the do's and don'ts of acting will begin!
SESSION 2: ACTING AS A BUSINESS
GOALS:
Overview of Previous week
Two person table reads
Get to know the business of acting including:

SESSION 3: TWO PERSON SCENE SET UP
